Hello!
I am taking my O Level results on January, before New Year (Heard from friends)
Kinda scary :/
I am sure when I get back my result, I will be panicking on which School to choose from.
For me I think I will just go to one of the polytechnic rather than JC because I know I won't be able to handle the stress that most of my JC's friends are facing.
But after reading about the Poly or JC website (www.polyorjc.sg), Nezzie's entry, I realise there’s more advantages than disadvantages studying in JC.
She then came across this:

It’s not choosing between poly or JC. It’s choosing between Poly and UNIVERSITY. JC is just like bridging course to Uni. Why choose Poly if you’re going to engineering or business? You’ll do the same thing when you go to university! Who will care if you got BOTH diploma and degree? I would say Poly is good ONLY if you chose the VERY specialised course such as nursing, or MAYBE, very limited design course. And one thing for sure is, many of you are too young to decide your career at only 16? And poly-your career is decided. Choose Poly, if you feel you won’t do well in JC to get into the “3″ uni in Singapore.

Well, I think the comment made is kinda true.........
I always have the thoughts to go to universities to have a higher degree so that I can get a better job.
So confuse now, lol.

Okay, let me talk about some of the pros and cons of Poly since the probability of me going to poly is higher, HAHA.

Advantages:
1. Workload will not be as much as JC as they have to prepare for A levels.
2. Don't have to wake up so early everyday, lol! (I am a pig if u know me)
3. Don't have to wear school uniforms! (Which is less school rules)
4. Can find a job once after graduate when I get my diploma.

Disadvantages:
1. Will have difficulty to get into both local and overseas universities. (Heard from friends, not sure whether is it true or not!)
2. Weaker school spirit probably because the population in Polys are greater

But I still believe if you are hardworking, you’ll succeed in any paths you chose =)
